Rob Costa of Massachusetts Beverage Alliance Craft Beer Pairing for Seven Star Street Bistro’s Asian Dishes: Flying Jenny

Craft Beer Pairing: Rob Costa of the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance and co-host Carol O’Connor discuss Rob’s craft beer choice for Seven Star Street Bistro’s Asian dishes, prepared by chef/owner Christopher Lin.  Flying Jenny, an extra pale ale from Grey Sail Brewing Company, located in Westerly, Rhode Island, is an American Ale that offers notes of caramel and malt.  Carol find the beer to be strong, but it is due to the hops – which gives beer different degrees of bitterness.  This ale will bring out much of the spices in the Asian dishes (listed below) and the alcohol content is very low.  Cheers!

Shrimp + Tofu Spring Rolls
Baby Bok Choy w/ Garlic Sauce
Sliced Pork w/ Thai Basil
“Black and White” Steamed Rice
